Three Ways to Subscribe: Which One is for You?

Sep 30, 21 | Adrian Constantin

Everyone’s idea of the best coffee subscription is different. While some might want to pick the beans themselves, others are happy to have the coffee selected for them, and someone else just needs a little advice.

With our subscriptions, we wanted to offer more than just randomly picked beans every month. We craved to create something better at Gems.

There are three different ways to subscribe, each of them tailored to different customers. Here’s our short intro that will help you decide which one is best for you.

1. All Beans

You know what you want and you’re not afraid to get it. You know a thing or two about coffee and you want to take charge in picking the beans that you know you’ll love. Or experiment with beans of your choice.

This subscription allows you to pick any coffee from our extensive range, including all the different roasters in Edmonton.

You can change it every month and tailor your picks to your current mood and needs, or stick with the ones you know. The choice is yours. Go nuts.

2. Monthly Picks

You’ve got things going on and picking your monthly beans is not something you want to add to your to-do list. You’re open-minded, a coffee explorer who loves adventure, or simply happy to trust an expert making the choice for you.

This subscription is not just a “random pick” though. No, no, no. Nothing about the three bags of beans is random. We curate a bespoke selection of beans every month, depending on what’s good, what’s new, and what’s in season.

This subscription allows you to explore different flavors, roasters, origins, and blends. Think all the excitement and none of the randomness.

3. Tailored to You (Launching Soon)

You’re looking for something really personal, something you know you’re bound to love. You want some expert advice, a personal shopper making recommendations according to your taste.

With this subscription, you’ll take our quick 10-minute test and our system will curate a selection of beans based on your preferences. Don’t worry, you still get to keep some decision power.

You can select a preferred roaster or pick the beans from the selection that tickle your fancy the most. Think shopping for wine with a sommelier by your side, but with coffee.
