Colombia - Ana Doney

$23.00
In Stock

Bright, juicy coffee with bold notes of blackberry and sour cherry is what you can expect from this Colombian coffee from Rogue Wave. It's the perfect coffee to start your day with a smile.

This coffee is sourced from Ana Doney which is located in the Quindio region in Colombia. Ana Doney is a first-generation coffee producer with over 10 years of experience growing coffee on her farm, La Primavera. She and her husband grow Castillo, Caturra, and Pink Bourbon. They have also begun processing naturals, thanks to the guidance of Cofinet (under the guidance of Jairo and Felipe Arcila). After harvesting only the ripest, deep red/purple Castillo cherries, this lot was exposed to a dry aerobic fermentation in ceramic tanks for 24 hours, then placed inside GrainPro bags and fermented for 48 hours inside a water tank that held a consistent temperature of 22C. Following these sophisticated fermentations, this coffee was dried for 14 days in raised beds.

LOCAL

Edmonton, AB

LITTLE FACT

They burst onto the scene in 2020 when they took home first place in both the Canadian AeroPress Competition and Canadian Brewers Cup competition. They represented Canada at the World Brewers championship the following year.

Our mission

We're on a mission to bridge the gap between a better cup of coffee and tea at home and the local craftspeople who are passionate about producing it.

We want to connect the Edmonton coffee lovers with Edmonton. There are so many great cafes, small batch roasters, and hidden treasures within our city that are waiting to be discovered.

Support Local

Early on our journey, we found out that more than 80% of coffee and tea purchased locally isn't actually local.

Wouldn't it be amazing if 80% of the tea and coffee purchased in Edmonton was local? And, the 20% that came from elsewhere was the very best the world had to offer?
