Baratza Encore Coffee Grinder

$199.00
In Stock

Encore is now available in white, as recommended by baristas! This is a wonderful entry-level grinder that stands out in terms of value and quality, and it's a must-have for any home coffee enthusiast. The Encore maintains its reputation and tradition for dependability and consistency with the same tried and true performance. Built with commercial-grade conical burrs, you may experiment with a wide variety of brewing methods and recipes! The Encore's 40 mm conical burrs are made in Europe and can grind a variety of coffee varieties. Conical burr grinders are excellent at creating consistent grinds from extremely fine to very coarse, as well as being long-lasting and sharp. With 40 settings, you can rapidly modify from fine for espresso to coarse for French Press by turning the hopper. The grind size ranges between 250 and 1200 microns. The Encore controls the burr spinning to 550 RPM using a mix of gear and electrical speed reduction. The moderate speed of the grinder lowers the heat, noise, and static generation. It also ensures that the beans are fed into the burrs smoothly. Features:

  • Grinds consistently enough for espresso as well as manual brew methods
  • Durable internals
  • Easy On/off switch grinding
  • Burrs are easily removable with no tools, making cleaning or repair very easy!

Our Mission

We're on a mission to bridge the gap between a better cup of coffee and tea at home and the producers who are passionate about producing it.

We believe that life is like a garden. It can provide so much but it needs to be fed and cultivated. We want to support the community of coffee and tea in a way that feeds and supports everyone involved in the rich and meaningful culture of coffee and tea from producers around the world, to the people who get the products to us here in Edmonton, to the retailers and businesses that sell or serve us the products.

Support Local

What's the difference between buying something on Amazon versus a local craftsperson?

No one will dispute the advantages of big box stores like Walmart and massive online retailers like Amazon. Selection, convenience and price are the three that tend to come to mind for most of us.

While these benefits make a difference in our lives, a question we want to ask is, “what are the invisible costs of buying from these huge multinational companies instead of buying from your local producers and retailers?” They range from jobs lost, to lack of community culture and local innovation and environmental impacts.
