Bonavita 1.0L Digital Variable Temperature Gooseneck Kettle

$163.99
In Stock

The Bonavita Variable Temperature Electric Kettle is one of the most useful tools that currently resides in the Eight Ounce Coffee kitchen. And this new 1.0l version makes it even more useful. Along with the Bonavita scale, this has made our beverage preparation so much easier and more accurate. You can set the temperature exactly (and store up to 6 presets) and as you don't have to transfer the water to a gooseneck to pour, you don't lose heat meaning a more consistent temperature through the entire brew. It's an essential tool when brewing delicate loose leaf teas that require an exact temperature. You can finally stop burning that expensive Gyokuro with boiling water. It's also quick. Being a British ex-pat, where 220v is one of the things I miss is a quick boiling kettle. Thankfully, the Bonavita is really fast to heat, even at 110v, and tells me exactly what temperature it's currently at whilst heating. As if that isn't enough, it sports an array of other features, such as a built-in timer, that make this the stand-out pour over kettle choice for anyone who wants to make the most of their coffee and tea.

Our Mission

We're on a mission to bridge the gap between a better cup of coffee and tea at home and the producers who are passionate about producing it.

We believe that life is like a garden. It can provide so much but it needs to be fed and cultivated. We want to support the community of coffee and tea in a way that feeds and supports everyone involved in the rich and meaningful culture of coffee and tea from producers around the world, to the people who get the products to us here in Edmonton, to the retailers and businesses that sell or serve us the products.

Support Local

What's the difference between buying something on Amazon versus a local craftsperson?

No one will dispute the advantages of big box stores like Walmart and massive online retailers like Amazon. Selection, convenience and price are the three that tend to come to mind for most of us.

While these benefits make a difference in our lives, a question we want to ask is, “what are the invisible costs of buying from these huge multinational companies instead of buying from your local producers and retailers?” They range from jobs lost, to lack of community culture and local innovation and environmental impacts.
